About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our construction project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost management, contract administration, quantity measurement, and financial control throughout the project lifecycle. This role is essential in ensuring that the project is delivered within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
· Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial performance.
· Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier inquiries, quotations, and contracts.
· Review and verify subcontractor measurements, progress claims, and invoices.
· Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates, and final accounts.
· Assess and manage variations, change orders, and claims.
· Assist in procurement activities and contract administration.
· Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and budget updates for project management.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities and support value engineering initiatives.
· Maintain accurate records of quantities, costs, and contractual documentation.
· Support commercial negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
· Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures, and project requirements.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
· Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, industrial, infrastructure, or EPC projects.
· Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and commercial administration.
· Experience with FIDIC and other standard forms of contract is an advantage.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project management software.
· Experience with cost control and quantity surveying software is preferred.
· Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
· Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
· Fluency in English; knowledge of Swedish is an advantage.
