About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Document Controller to manage all project documentation for a major construction project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that drawings, technical documents, contracts, correspondence, and project records are properly controlled, distributed, and maintained in accordance with company procedures and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Establish and maintain the project document control system.
· Manage the receipt, registration, distribution, tracking, and archiving of project documentation.
· Control incoming and outgoing correspondence, drawings, specifications, technical submittals, and reports.
· Ensure that all documents are correctly numbered, classified, filed, and stored.
· Maintain document registers and tracking logs, ensuring the latest revisions are available to project stakeholders.
· Monitor document workflow processes and follow up on overdue submissions and approvals.
· Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, quality, and project management teams regarding document submissions and revisions.
· Prepare document status reports and document control metrics for management.
· Support audits by ensuring complete and accurate project records are maintained.
· Ensure compliance with project document control procedures, client requirements, and quality management systems.
· Assist with project handover documentation and final records compilation.
Qualifications
· Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Management, or a related field.
· Minimum 3 years of experience as a Document Controller in construction, industrial, EPC, infrastructure, or engineering projects.
· Strong understanding of document control procedures and records management practices.
· Experience with electronic document management systems (EDMS), such as Aconex, Procore, SharePoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
· Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Swedish is an advantage.
