About the Role As a Senior Services Owner, you will take strategic responsibility for managing and developing services throughout their lifecycle. You will oversee service competitiveness, revenue performance, and market positioning while identifying opportunities for new services and business growth. The role combines strategic thinking, commercial expertise, market understanding, and leadership influence. You will develop service value propositions, define commercial and pricing strategies, interpret regulatory requirements, and provide recommendations that influence business decisions at leadership level. You will also contribute as a recognised expert within your discipline, developing and promoting new concepts, methodologies, and approaches that support organisational growth and service excellence. Key Responsibilities Service Strategy & Lifecycle Management Own and drive service lifecycle management, from development and market introduction to continuous improvement. Define and recommend operational strategies and plans that directly influence business results. Govern and monitor service competitiveness, performance, and revenue. Identify market opportunities and develop strategies for introducing new services. Drive continuous service development in alignment with business objectives and market expectations. Commercial Development & Value Proposition Develop compelling service value propositions and targeted feature sets. Define and recommend commercial strategies, pricing models, and positioning. Identify opportunities to strengthen service profitability, competitiveness, and revenue generation. Evaluate market requirements and translate business opportunities into service development initiatives. Strategic Leadership & Governance Interpret regulatory requirements and assess their implications for service development and management. Influence business decisions and strategic direction through expert recommendations. Communicate with executive leadership on matters of strategic importance. Address complex, multidimensional business challenges and develop effective solutions. Promote new theories, concepts, principles, and methodologies within the area of expertise. Act as a trusted advisor and recognised subject-matter expert within and outside the organisation. Required Qualifications & Experience Typically 12+ years of relevant professional experience in service ownership, service management, business development, commercial strategy, or a related discipline. Recognised expertise within the relevant service or business domain. Strong experience managing service lifecycles and driving service development. Proven ability to identify market opportunities and develop new service strategies. Experience developing service value propositions, commercial strategies, and pricing approaches. Strong understanding of service competitiveness, revenue management, and business performance. Experience interpreting regulatory requirements and incorporating them into service strategies. Demonstrated ability to develop new concepts, principles, methodologies, and strategic approaches. Proven experience influencing senior leadership and business decisions. Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
