We are currently looking for an experienced and collaborative Quality Officer to join the OL31 railway project in Vagnhärad. This is a role within one of Sweden's most important infrastructure projects, where safety, coordination, collaboration and leadership are critical to success.
About the Project
The OL31 Project forms part of the Ostlänken programme, one of Sweden's largest and most important railway infrastructure investments. Ostlänken is a new approximately 160-kilometre double-track railway connecting Järna and Linköping, designed to increase capacity, improve regional connectivity and support sustainable transport across Sweden.
The project involves complex civil engineering works, including tunnels, bridges, earthworks and rail infrastructure. Working on OL31 offers the opportunity to contribute to a landmark infrastructure programme while supporting the recruitment and development of a diverse, international project organization.
About the Role
As Quality Officer, you will support the set-up, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the project's Quality Management System. You will work closely with construction teams, technical departments, subcontractors and the client to ensure that all project activities comply with contractual requirements, company procedures, and applicable quality standards.
The role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who is committed to promoting a strong quality culture throughout the project organization.
Key Responsibilities
Support the set up, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the project's Quality Management System.
Monitor compliance with project quality requirements, procedures, and standards.
Conduct quality inspections, audits, and site surveillance activities.
Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality documentation.
Support the management of non-conformities and corrective actions.
Assist in preparing quality reports, dashboards, and project quality records.
Ensure that quality documentation is properly maintained and archived.
Participate in internal and external audits.
Support subcontractors and project teams in fulfilling quality requirements.
Monitor compliance with contractual quality obligations.
Promote continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned.
Collaborate with engineering, construction, HSE, and client representatives on quality-related matters.
Your Profile
Mandatory Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in quality management, quality assurance, or quality control within construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and quality assurance principles.
Experience with audits, inspections, and quality documentation.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and quality management processes.
Ability to review technical documentation and verify compliance with project requirements.
Experience working on large infrastructure, railway, tunnel, or civil engineering projects.
Auditor qualification or experience conducting quality audits.
Knowledge of Swedish construction standards and regulations.
Experience working with digital quality management systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and international environment.
Full-time availability on site in Vagnhärad.
Language Requirements
Professional working proficiency in English is required.
Swedish is highly meritorious due to the project's regulatory environment, documentation requirements.
