What do we do?
Technical Training is part of Competence Development at Volvo Trucks. We develop learning solutions that strengthen the skills of workshop technicians across our global dealer network.Through our train-the-trainer approach, we work closely with market companies, product experts, engineers and technical trainers to deliver high-quality training adapted to local needs.
What will you do?As a Technical Training Developer, you will turn new truck technology and complex technical information into clear, practical training for workshop technicians.
Your main area of expertise will be Volvo Trucks’ electrical architecture, including vehicle topology, wiring diagrams, electrical drawings, KOLA content, diagnostics and fault tracing.
You will:
Follow product launches and technical updates to identify training needs
Gather and validate input from engineers, product experts and other stakeholders
Select and simplify the information most relevant to workshop technicians
Develop instructor-led and digital training solutions
Create clear technical explanations, exercises, illustrations and diagrams
Develop technicians’ capabilities in diagnostics and systematic fault tracing
Deliver train-the-trainer sessions and support our global trainer network
Manage assignments from initial technical input to a validated and implemented learning solution

QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you have:
Strong expertise in electrical and electronic architecture
Understanding of vehicle topology and how electrical systems, control units and vehicle functions interact
Experience interpreting and explaining wiring diagrams and electrical drawings
Strong diagnostic and fault-tracing expertise
Preferred experience working with trucks or other complex vehicle systems
Ability to gather, structure and simplify technical information
A proactive, collaborative and process-oriented way of working
Strong presentation and technical writing skills in English
An interest in learning, communication and knowledge sharing
A relevant university degree is welcome, but equivalent technical expertise and practical experience are equally valued.It is a plus if you have:
Hands-on experience from a truck or vehicle workshop
Understanding of KOLA content and the ability to explain it to others
Experience with Volvo Trucks products and electrical architecture
Experience developing or delivering technical training
The position is based in Gothenburg, no relocation possibilities.
