About the role
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Planner to join our manufacturing team. The Production Planner is responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules, ensuring material availability, balancing production capacity, and supporting on-time delivery to customers. This role works closely with Production, Purchasing, Logistics, Customer Service, and Suppliers to ensure efficient production flow and optimal use of resources.
The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating production activities, managing planning parameters within the ERP system, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and communicate production plans and schedules.
Perform capacity and workload planning to optimize production resources.
Monitor customer demand and ensure production plans support delivery commitments.
Release and manage production orders in the ERP system.
Coordinate material requirements and ensure timely availability of materials for production.
Monitor inventory levels and perform material planning and follow-up activities.
Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding production planning matters.
Collaborate with Customer Service to support customer requirements and delivery performance.
Maintain and optimize planning parameters within the ERP system.
Participate in production meetings, product launches, and change management activities.
Analyze production performance and identify potential risks to supply or delivery schedules.
Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives within production planning and supply chain processes.
Assist other planning team members and provide planning support as required.
What we’re looking for
Essential
Experience in production planning, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or a similar environment.
Strong understanding of production scheduling, material planning, and inventory management.
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
Desirable
Degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Experience with capacity planning and demand forecasting.
Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, IFS, or other ERP systems.
Experience working in cross-functional international teams.
