RAN Security System Manager

Company description: Ericsson AB Job description: Join our Team About Opportunity  We are looking for a RAN Security Systems Engineer to join the System Security section within the CCI TS Product security system. The role combines RAN and cybersecurity engineering with data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence and web development.You will help transform security data and engineering insights into practical tools, intelligent analysis and scalable solutions that improve the security and efficiency of RAN systems.   Key responsibilities Analyze RAN security data, logs and system behavior to identify vulnerabilities, anomalies and trends.Develop data-driven security solutions using statistics, machine learning, deep learning and AI.Build and evaluate models for anomaly detection, classification, prediction, risk assessment and security monitoring.Create data pipelines and processing workflows for security-related data.Develop web applications, dashboards and visualizations for security engineers and stakeholders.Prototype AI-enabled capabilities and bring successful solutions into production.Contribute to threat modeling, security assessments, secure design reviews and risk analysis.Apply secure software development practices, automated testing, monitoring and lifecycle maintenance.Collaborate with RAN security, architecture, software, operations and product teams.Document and communicate technical findings clearly.   Required qualifications and experience Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications, information security, data science or a related field.Experience in cybersecurity, telecommunications, software engineering, data science or a related technical area.Understanding of security principles such as threat modeling, vulnerability management, authentication, authorization and security monitoring.Knowledge of RAN, mobile networks or telecommunications systems, or the ability to learn complex network architectures.Practical Python experience, including tools such as pandas, NumPy and scikit-learn.Understanding of machine learning concepts, model evaluation and deployment.Experience with a modern web development stack, APIs, databases or data visualization.Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills.Professional working proficiency in English.Preferred qualificationsExperience applying AI or machine learning to cybersecurity, network analytics or anomaly detection.Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, MLOps, data engineering or cloud analytics.Experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, FastAPI, Flask or equivalent technologies.Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, containers, CI/CD and automated testing.Knowledge of 4G/5G RAN architecture, 3GPP specifications, telecom protocols or network management systems.Experience with security testing, secure coding, responsible AI or model robustness.   Personal qualities Security-minded, curious and motivated by complex engineering challenges.Pragmatic and delivery-oriented, with a focus on maintainable solutions.Comfortable working across security, software, RAN and data science disciplines.Able to explain complex technical topics clearly and take ownership from concept to implementation.Success in the roleFaster and higher-quality RAN security analysis.Actionable insights from complex security data.Useful AI/ML capabilities and web tools for security engineers.Stronger integration of RAN security expertise, software engineering and data-driven decision-making.
