For more information about the company, please visit: www.circio.com Circio is currently seeking a technician to join the expanding R&D Department of Circio and take part in exciting preclinical research programs at our new laboratory facilities at Novum Labs, in Huddinge, Stockholm. In this position, you will contribute to the development of the platform and conduct an extended array of molecular biology assays to characterize circVec expression of various protein in different cell lines. In addition, you will be involved in new and ongoing collaborations with academia, biotech and pharma companies around the world. The work will be conducted in a stimulating, curiosity-driven, and multinational environment. What you will do: · Test and optimise circVec vector designs using molecular biology techniques — cloning, transfection, qRT-PCR, western blotting and more · Characterise circVec-driven expression of a range of proteins across different cell lines · Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of laboratory documentation, including SOPs, risk assessments, inventory shipments and sample collections from external collaborators, as well as other relevant procedures · Work across a range of research, laboratory and administrative activities in a well-organized and detail-oriented approach · Work day to day with our R&D team, reporting to VP of Research What we are looking for · Training as a laboratory technician, biomedical scientist/analyst or equivalent, ideally with prior industry experience · Hands-on experience with core molecular biology methods: cloning, cell culture, transfection, and RNA and protein analysis · A structured mindset and experience with documenting results and project progress · The ability to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities, while collaborating effectively as part of a multidisciplinary R&D team · A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a dynamic R&D environment · Experience writing or maintaining SOPs and risk assessments is an advantage · Fluent English, spoken and written. Swedish is not required. You will interact with colleagues of many different nationalities, so good communication skills are essential Beneficial but not essential skills: ELISA, microscopy, IHC, flow cytometry, and dPCR.
