Want to work on data infrastructure that people use every day? Our Data Management team in Lund builds the platform that helps Axis collect, manage, and use data across the company. Your future team You will join the Data Management team - a strategic, collaborative group of software and data engineers. Together we build and run services that collect, process, and store data securely in cloud and on-premises environments. We also build the tools that let users and colleagues find, explore, analyze, and visualize that data. The team works in a self-organizing way, with a high level of trust and ownership. You will help decide how we improve and shape the future of our data platform. The team is part of Axis OS Lifecycle & Services. What you'll do as a Data Platform Engineer You will work across the entire platform: infrastructure, data pipelines, databases, and visualization tools. We use AI tools to increase development speed, and we hold our code to high standards - clear, tested, and maintainable. The platform shapes decisions across Axis every day, so it needs to be dependable, practical to use, and able to grow with the company. In this role, you will: Build and operate data pipelines that collect, process, and store data securely in cloud and on-premises environments Take ownership of the infrastructure, databases, and visualization tools our users depend on, in environments such as ClickHouse, Superset, and Kubernetes Apply your strong software engineering skills to develop clean, maintainable code in e.g. Python on Linux Work in a CI/CD environment with Git, automated tests, and linters - taking responsibility for deployment to staging and production Strengthen and evolve the on-premises architecture as data volumes grow and reliability requirements increase Who we are looking for You are curious, eager to learn, and want to grow in an environment that increasingly leverages AI to accelerate development. You want to understand the system as a whole, not only the part you are currently changing. We think you have: A degree in Computer, Electrical, or Physics Engineering, or equivalent experience Experience in software and data engineering, with strong Python, Linux, and Git skills An interest in Kubernetes and databases such as PostgreSQL and ClickHouse Professional proficiency in English, our corporate language It is a plus if you have: Experience with tools for data extraction, ingestion, processing, or orchestration, such as Dagster, and with BI, visualization, or data exploration tools such as Apache Superset or DataHub Experience working with data scientists and analysts, contributing to open-source communities, and knowledge of effective team practices such as DevOps Swedish communication and presentation skills, plus a structured approach to requirements and documentation What Axis has to offer We are a world leader in network video, where cutting-edge technology meets global impact.
