Test Engineer

Then this might be the right company and position for you!   What you’ll do at Thule In the role of Test Engineer, you will be part of our Sports & Cargo development projects, contributing to the development of safe, reliable, and high-quality products. You will plan and perform testing according to defined test plans, internal standards, and external customer or regulatory requirements. Your work will be highly hands-on and cover a wide range of test areas, including static, environmental, dynamic, user, driving, and misuse testing, as well as verification against standards and legal requirements. A key part of your role will be translating standards into practical, relevant test methods that reflect real customer usage scenarios. You will work closely with R&D engineers, project teams, and other functions, providing test results, measurements, and analysis to support product development and design decisions. You will also contribute to the development and evaluation of test methods, helping us continuously improve how we test our products. In addition, you will plan and carry out maintenance of test and support equipment, document test results through test reports and other relevant documentation, and support R&D and Quality with testing and evaluations related to claim cases. You will also contribute to planning test resources within your area to ensure testing can be carried out efficiently.   What you bring To be successful in this role, we believe you have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, such as Mechatronics or Electronics. You have a strong technical interest and enjoy working hands-on, investigating how things work, solving problems, and understanding how products perform in real-world conditions. Experience from product development and/or product testing is an advantage, particularly within mechanical, environmental, or material testing. Experience with mechatronics, electronic testing, fabric and soft goods materials, standards and compliance, or the automotive industry is also valuable. As a person, you are curious, structured, and engaged, with a practical mindset and an interest in finding solutions. You enjoy combining hands-on testing with analytical thinking and are comfortable working independently as well as together with colleagues in a team. You communicate well in English, both written and spoken. A valid B driving license is required. Experience with forklift or traverse crane operation is considered an advantage.
