About the role
ALTEN Sweden is looking for an Aftermarket Methods Engineer to join an exciting assignment within the construction equipment industry in Eskilstuna. In this role, you will contribute to the development of service and repair solutions that ensure products can be maintained efficiently, safely, and sustainably throughout their lifecycle.
You will work closely with product development teams, technical specialists, and documentation engineers, helping to improve serviceability and drive innovation through new technologies and digital solutions.
Your Responsibilities
Develop and improve service and repair methods for aftermarket operations
Create and maintain service instructions and technical documentation
Support product development projects with serviceability expertise
Plan and execute service procedure development and time studies
Design, develop, and validate special tools and workshop solutions
Collaborate with technical writers to ensure accurate and high-quality service documentation
Drive continuous improvements by exploring and implementing technologies such as AI, VR, and other digital solutions
Work cross-functionally with design engineers, product specialists, and other stakeholders
We Are Looking For Someone With
A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline
Experience working with heavy vehicles, construction equipment, industrial machinery, or similar technical products
Strong understanding of service, maintenance, repair processes, and product serviceability
Experience creating or working with technical documentation and service instructions
A structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
Excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish
A valid driver's license (B)
Meritorious Experience
CAD tools such as CATIA, Creo, NX, I-DEAS, SolidWorks, or similar
Product Data Management (PDM) or PLM systems
Hydraulics systems
Electrical and electronic systems
Engines, transmissions, driveline, axle, or powertrain components
Workshop operations, field service, or aftermarket development
Methods engineering and time studies
AI, digitalization, or innovative service solutions
